The International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico) will organize, on June 23 at 6:00 pm (Puerto Rico), the webinar "Sarcopenic Obesity, a Latent Reality," which will be given by Ligia Stella Guerrero.
In the webinar, the speaker will discuss sarcopenic obesity. Although the concept traditionally focuses on older adult patients, it is interesting that the bibliography reports loss of muscle mass from an early age followed by high percentages of fat mass as a consequence of nutritional variables such as vitamin and protein deficiency and inflammatory processes, especially if there are not adequate levels of physical activity to balance these processes.
Ligia Stella Guerrero is a Professional in Nutrition and Dietetics and has a PhD in Biochemistry. She is also the Thesis Director of the Doctorate in Nutrition at the International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico).
The conference is both free and open to all those interested in the topic, and it will be streamed live on Youtube. To consult the schedules, please, access this link. Registration is required in order to participate:
