
The International Ibero-American University of Puerto Rico (UNIB) and the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), based in Ecuador, held a graduation ceremony for scholarship students who completed their postgraduate studies at institutions within the Foundation's university network.
The event took place at the Fundación Leonidas Ortega, an organization with close educational ties to FUNIBER in Ecuador. On this occasion, 80 scholarship recipients received their degrees for successfully completing academic programs at UNIB and the International Iberoamerican University of Mexico (UNINI Mexico).
The board of directors, responsible for awarding the diplomas, was made up of Mgtr. Enrique Espinel Maila, executive director of FUNIBER Ecuador; Johanna Lucas, admissions and scholarships coordinator; Néstor Petraccaro Guerrero, representative of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) in Ecuador; Alejandra Muñoz, coordinator of the Student Counseling Department at the Boston Educational Unit; Elsie Ortiz Manzano, rector of the Gregoriano Educational Unit; and Katty Plaza Flores, coordinator of the Student Counseling Department at the Boston Educational Unit. During the ceremony, a collaboration agreement was signed between FUNIBER, UNEATLANTICO, and the Gregoriano Educational Unit, represented by its rector, Elsie Ortiz Manzano.
The new professionals, represented by Mgtr. Alejandro José Cáceres Burgos, from the Master's program in Design, Management, and Project Management, graduated from UNIB, and Mgtr. Ricardo Daniel Zúñiga Pavón, from the International Master's program in Nutrition and Dietetics, graduated from UNINI Mexico, expressed their gratitude, excitement, and pride for having completed this significant stage in their lives.
The authorities present praised the students' effort, commitment, and dedication, recognizing the skills they acquired as fundamental tools for their professional development. The unconditional support of their families and loved ones during their academic process was also valued.
Attendees received congratulatory messages from the rectors of the FUNIBER network universities, who encouraged them to continue advancing with perseverance in their professional careers.
With this ceremony, UNIB reaffirms its commitment to quality higher education, honoring scholarship students who have achieved significant academic accomplishments in distance learning master's, specialization, and doctoral programs, recognizing their performance.
