UNINI Puerto Rico organizes a webinar on the influence of nutrition on cancer

The International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico) will organize, next October 19 at 11:00 am (Puerto Rico), in the webinar "Nutrition and Cancer: Challenges in the nutritional approach to oncology patients," which will be conducted by Tara Rendo.

The prevalence of malnutrition in cancer patients remains high and is a key factor that has a major influence on the response to anti-cancer treatment. In addition, the management of the wide variety of side effects derived from treatment is an essential factor for the maintenance of body weight and nutritional status in these patients. An appropriate nutritional approach, initiated at the optimal time, maintained over time and led by specialized health professionals, such as nutritionists, can lead to a better response to cancer treatment.

This webinar will cover the challenges in the nutritional approach in oncology patients and review the latest recommendations from reference institutions.

Dr. Tara Rendo is a dietician, nutritionist and lecturer at the International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico). The conference is both free and accessible to all those interested on the topic and will be streamed live in each country on YouTube. Broadcasting schedules can be consulted at the following link.
