UNINI Puerto Rico organize a webinar on Semantics in Spanish Language Teaching

The International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico) will organize, on January 27, the webinar "Rich and Famous: How to Combine Semantics and Pragmatics in Second Language Teaching," which will be given by Dr. Carmelo Bazaco.

The objective of the webinar is to explain the most common problems and possible solutions based on the semantic and pragmatic behavior of the copulas "ser" and "estar" in Spanish, which pose a challenge in the teaching of this language.

Dr. Carmelo Bazaco holds a Bachelor's degree in English Philology and an Master's degree in Hispanic Linguistics. He did his doctoral thesis on the processing of Spanish copulas. He is a researcher in syntax and theoretical semantics and has taught in Spain and the USA.

The webinar is organized by the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) in which, in addition to UNINI Puerto Rico, the following universities also participate: the European University of the Atlantic and the International Iberoamerican University (UNINI-Mexico).
