UNIB organizes a graduation ceremony for students in Arecibo, Puerto Rico

On October 24, 2023, the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB) held a ceremony to award diplomas to several outstanding students. Also present virtually were academic leaders such as Dr. Rubén Calderón, rector of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO) and Dr. Luis Dzul, rector of the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico). Both emotionally shared a special message for the students.

The host institution was represented by Dr. María del Carmen Rivera, UNIB Rector; Carol Morales, Dean of Administration and Finance; Lillian Díaz, Dean of Student Affairs; and Odalys Ocasio, UNIB Registrar. UNEATLANTICO was represented by Dr. Monica Gracia to honor the graduates.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome by Dean Carol Morales, followed by a protocol message from Dr. Rivera, addressed to the distinguished guests and the general public. The UNEATLANTICO representative congratulated the graduates for their academic achievements and successes in their respective study programs. Afterwards, the expected presentation of diplomas took place. 

Student Glenda Lynnette González Zayas, a graduate of the Doctorate in Education program at the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (UNINI Mexico), represented the student community and offered moving words of thanks. She highlighted the hard effort, dedication, and work required throughout her years of study, expressing her gratitude to the university for the opportunity provided.

The ceremony culminated with a farewell message from Dean Lillian Díaz, who highlighted the importance of this celebration and wished the graduates a prosperous future in their respective professional careers.

UNIB reaffirms its commitment to its mission, vision, and goals, which include providing equal study opportunities for all people through a student-centered teaching model. This presentation of diplomas is an example of its commitment to academic excellence and the training of future professionals at an international level.
