Spanish pianist José Luis Nieto will give two concerts in Puerto Rico

The International Iberoamerican University (UNIB) (UNIB) of Puerto Rico is collaborating in holding two concerts by the Spanish pianist José Luis Nieto in the city of San Juan (Puerto Rico) on October 13th and 14th, as part of his tour in Latin America.

An initial concert will take place on October 13th at 7:00 p.m. at the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico. Attendance to this event is free Those interested need to fill out the following form.

A second concert will be held at the Luis A. Ferré Performing Arts Center at 7:00 pm. This event is also free. However, attendance must be confirmed by filling out the following form.

The event, organized by the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER),is being jointly run by the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (UNIB),the International Iberoamerican University of Mexico (UNINI Mexico), the Luis A. Ferré Performing Arts Center (Centro de Bellas Artes Luis A. Ferré) and the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico.

Nieto,who has a broad international career as a pianist, will present the audience the recital "Pasión de Falla" featuring several pieces by the Spanish composer Manuel de Falla: "El sombrero de tres picos", "El amor brujo" and "Fantasía bética". José Luis Nieto studied music at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid and at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Russia.

His performances have also spread to the Middle East, garnering rave reviews in the main halls of Egypt, such as the Gomhoreya theater—Cairo Opera House—, and the Great Hall of Theatre Sayed Darwish, Alexandria. Due to the pandemic, the artist started exploring new ways to reach out to his audience.
