UNINI Puerto Rico organizes a webinar on microbiota and chronic diseases

The International Iberoamerican University (UNINI Puerto Rico) will organize the webinar "Microbiota and its relationship with chronic diseases", which will be conducted by Luis Miguel Becerra, on November 18 at 12:00 noon (Puerto Rico).

The webinar will exhibit the relationship between microbiota and chronic diseases. A description of the generalities of probiotic bacteria in humans, the history of bacteriotherapy, bacteria cladograms in humans, as well as composition and location of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract will be presented. The relationship between probiotic bacteria and different diseases, such as obesity, neurodegenerative diseases, endocrine diseases and changes in intensive care situations will also be presented.

Luis Miguel Becerra is a Nutritionist-Dietitian, specialist in pediatric clinical nutrition and subspecialist in digestive immunology. He is a doctoral candidate in human nutrition with a research line in nutrigenetics and nutrigenomics and teaches in the area of natural health at the International University (UNINI Puerto Rico).
