The Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Ibero-American University, UNIB) and the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), from their headquarters in Bolivia, recently held a graduation ceremony in the city of Santa Cruz. The ceremony brought together 17 professionals who successfully completed their graduate studies at UNIB and other universities that are part of FUNIBER’s International University Network.
The event was attended by the graduates and their families, who shared a day dedicated to recognizing the perseverance, responsibility, and commitment demonstrated throughout their academic training. The presentation of the diplomas marked the culmination of a phase characterized by continuous learning and the overcoming of various personal and professional challenges.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Mónica Gracia, FUNIBER’s Director of Admissions and representative of the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO). Representing FUNIBER Bolivia were Luis Alejandro de Ugarte, campus director, and Flor María Mariscal, executive director. Members of the institution’s Admissions team and Academic Secretariat also attended the event.

Degrees from the University Network
The diplomas awarded correspond to graduate programs offered online by UNIB, the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Ibero-American University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), and the UNEATLANTICO. In this way, the ceremony highlighted the international scope of the education and the opportunities offered by the Scholarship Program promoted by FUNIBER and its network of universities to Bolivian professionals.
During the event, the rectors of the participating universities sent congratulatory messages to the new graduates via videos specially prepared for the occasion. Dr. Carol Morales participated as rector of UNIB, Dr. Luis Dzul López spoke as rector of UNINI Mexico, and Dr. Rubén Calderón addressed the audience as rector of UNEATLANTICO.
Family Support
Approximately 90 people attended the ceremony, including graduates, family members, officials, and members of the FUNIBER Bolivia team. In this context, the branch highlighted that each graduate had to balance the demands of their studies with the responsibilities of work and family life.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to thank family members for their constant support, patience, and encouragement throughout the educational process. Their support was essential in helping students stay motivated and persevere until they completed their respective academic programs.
Through this event, UNIB and FUNIBER Bolivia reaffirm their commitment to training professionals and creating opportunities for access to higher education with an international scope. Through the University Network and the Scholarship Program, the University and the Foundation continue to support students and graduates in their academic and professional development.
