The Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Ibero-American University, UNIB) will host a Spanish-language webinar on October 8 at 5:00 p.m. (Spain), titled “Conversations on Educational Emancipation: A Shared Reading Among Faculty,” featuring faculty members Alba Flores, Fernando Esono, Sofía Zambrano, and Ariel Canabal, moderated by Dr. Thomas Prola.

The event is being held in collaboration with the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (Ibero-American International University of Mexico ,UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).

During this gathering, there will be a shared reading of the work *The Ignorant Schoolmaster* by the French philosopher and essayist Jacques Rancière. The event invites participants to collectively engage with a work that raises questions about equality, emancipation, and the relationships formed in the processes of teaching and learning. The shared reading will be an opportunity to pause, discuss, and engage Rancière’s ideas in dialogue with the experiences and questions that shape teaching today.

The event aims to turn the reading into a space for exchange: reading with others, listening to different interpretations, and raising new questions about the meaning of teaching and learning.

This session takes place on the anniversary of the FUNIBER Teacher Well-being Program, an initiative led by Dr. Thomas Prola. It stems from a collaboration agreement between the European University of the Atlantic and the Social Action department of the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), as well as the partners of the Erasmus+ DigitalTA project (2022–2025), an initiative led by UNEATLANTICO. It is a comprehensive approach focused on professional support to enhance teacher well-being and reduce attrition among professionals in the sector.

The conference is free and open to anyone interested in the topic, and it will be streamed live in each country via the FUNIBER YouTube channel. The broadcast schedules can be found at this link.
