The International Ibero-American University (UNIB) participated in the Protocolary Greeting held at La Fortaleza, the official seat of the Puerto Rican Executive, in a ceremony led by the Governor of Puerto Rico, Jenniffer González Colón. The meeting brought together representatives from different political, social, and community sectors of the country, as part of an institutional tradition that promotes formal exchange between the government and relevant actors in civil society.

Representing the International Iberoamerican University was its rector, Dr. Carol Morales. During the event, she highlighted the importance of maintaining strong links between academia and government spheres, noting that higher education constantly interacts with regulatory frameworks, public policies, and professional development strategies. In this context, she emphasized that institutional dialogue contributes to identifying emerging needs in the environment and strengthening the link between academic training and social reality.

The Protocolary Greeting is a formal instance of interaction between the Executive and actors from different social spheres. For higher education institutions, these spaces are part of the dynamics of dialogue with authorities responsible for public management and policy formulation. The articulation between the university and the government has an impact on areas such as academic recognition, curriculum updating, and the training of human capital in areas strategic for development.

UNIB, an institution that is part of the academic network promoted by FUNIBER, maintains an agenda of institutional relations aimed at exchange and cooperation with different actors. Its presence at this meeting is part of this line of formal representation within the institutional sphere of Puerto Rico.
