UNIB holds a graduation ceremony for its students in Honduras

The Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (Ibero-American International University, UNIB), in collaboration with the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (Ibero-American University Foundation, FUNIBER), held a graduation ceremony in Honduras. The event was in honor of the students who successfully completed their master's and doctoral programs, taught in collaboration with the universities that make up FUNIBER's international academic network.

A total of 63 students successfully completed their postgraduate studies: 47 graduated from the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), 1 from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), 9 from UNIB, and 3 with double degrees, in recognition of their academic excellence.

The ceremony brought together graduates, family members, teachers, and institutional representatives, who shared a day of joy, pride, and recognition of the academic efforts of the new graduates. The main table was composed of Gabriela Quijano, executive director of FUNIBER Honduras; Belky Brizuela, coordinator of the Academic Secretariat; and Nelson Salguero, admissions coordinator for UNEATLANTICO in Honduras.

During their speeches, Ms. Quijano and Ms. Brizuela congratulated the graduates and highlighted FUNIBER's mission to “build bridges so that more people can access quality education with an international reach and a strong social commitment.” They also emphasized the value of the effort, discipline, and determination demonstrated by the students in achieving this important academic achievement.

On behalf of the graduates, Guillermo Eduardo Sandoval Aguilar, Doctor of Education with a specialization in Research from UNIB, and Juan Pablo Carías Díaz, Doctor of Nutrition from UNINI Mexico, offered words of gratitude. Both highlighted the opportunity that studying at UNIB, with the support of FUNIBER, represents, allowing them to balance their academic training with their professional and personal responsibilities in a flexible, internationally recognized educational environment.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of diplomas and a message of encouragement to the graduates to continue their professional development with ethics, leadership, and social commitment. This event reaffirmed the university's commitment to higher education, inter-university cooperation, and the internationalization of knowledge, fundamental pillars of its educational work.
