The International Iberoamerican University of Puerto Rico (UNIB) held a graduation ceremony in Panama, in collaboration with the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO) and the International Iberoamerican University of Mexico (UNINI Mexico).
The event was held at the Autonomous University of Chiriquí (UNACHI), located in the capital of the province of Chiriquí, and was attended by academic authorities, graduates and their families in a solemn ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Roberto Ruíz, Vice-Rector of International Relations and Secretary General of the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLÁNTICO), who was in Panama on a working visit. On this occasion, 15 degrees were awarded at the levels of university expert, postgraduate specialization and master's degree.
The event was organized by the Panamanian headquarters of FUNIBER, represented by its director and legal representative, Dr. Gregorio Urriola Candanedo, accompanied by the administrative director, Sindy Martínez, and the academic secretary, Marjorie Franco. In his words of welcome, Dr. Urriola emphasized FUNIBER's commitment to academic training of excellence and the positive impact this has on the professional development of graduates.
The rectors of UNEATLÁNTICO and UNINI Mexico, Dr. Rubén Calderón and Dr. Luis Alonso Dzul, sent virtual messages congratulating the graduates and recognizing their efforts and their confidence in the academic programs of their institutions. For her part, Ms. Marjorie Franco, at the close of the event, urged the graduates to continue their education through the scholarships offered by FUNIBER and UNIB.
The event concluded with a toast of honor, followed by a small banquet in which the academic authorities, the graduates and their families shared a special moment to celebrate this event. With this ceremony, UNIB reaffirms its commitment to the promotion of quality education in Panama and in the more than 35 countries where FUNIBER is present.
