On March 14, 2025, the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB) of Puerto Rico reaffirmed its commitment to education and professional development by renewing its collaboration agreement with Puerto Rico & Florida Recovery Training Academy.
The signing of the agreement took place with the participation of Dr. Carol Morales, rector of UNIB and dean of Administration and Finance, and Dr. Carlos Acosta, president of Puerto Rico & Florida Recovery Academy.
The purpose of this agreement is to offer educational opportunities that will allow employees and the general public of Puerto Rico & Florida Recovery Academy to access training programs offered by UNIB, an institution recognized for its excellence in higher education. It also details the commitments and rights that both institutions acquire within the framework of this collaboration.
Distance learning, a key feature of this alliance, responds to the current need for flexibility and accessibility in professional training. This method eliminates barriers such as incompatible schedules and travel, allowing students to adjust their learning pace according to their interests and circumstances. In addition, it facilitates the immediate application of the knowledge acquired in the workplace, promoting a positive impact on their professional environments.
With this renovation, UNIB reinforces its mission of providing equal educational opportunities through a student-centered teaching model. The university reaffirms its commitment to continuing education, offering tools and resources that allow students to overcome the limitations of time and distance, and achieve their academic and professional goals.
The collaboration between UNIB and the Puerto Rico & Florida Recovery Academy represents a significant step towards strengthening accessible, quality education, underlining the commitment of both institutions to the integral development of their communities.
