UNIB signs collaboration agreement with the Polytechnic University of San Juan

The International Ibero-American University (UNIB) recently signed a collaboration agreement with the Polytechnic University of San Juan, consolidating a strategic alliance aimed at promoting new professional and continuing education opportunities for the academic community of both institutions. This agreement represents a significant step in strengthening inter-university cooperation and expanding high-quality educational alternatives in Puerto Rico.

Representing the Polytechnic University of San Juan were its president, Ernesto Vázquez Martínez; the dean of the Department of Engineering, Carlos González Miranda; the director of Communications, Ana Castellano Irizarry; and the director of the Exchange Program, Mayra López. Representing UNIB were its rector, Carol Morales, and the dean of Administration and Finance, Yaira Velázquez, who highlighted the importance of this new institutional alliance.

Through this agreement, students, teachers, and professionals affiliated with the Polytechnic University will have access to UNIB's fully online academic programs, a modality that allows them to continue their professional development without interrupting their work activities. Among the areas of study available are those aimed at strengthening key competencies in innovation and technology, which are fundamental for facing the challenges of today's environment.

On the other hand, both institutions expressed their interest in moving forward with joint initiatives that include research projects, shared academic activities, and actions aimed at strengthening the internationalization of their university communities. According to UNIB authorities, this agreement reaffirms the institution's commitment to educational excellence, expanding access to higher education, and promoting equal opportunities for students and professionals in the region.
