The Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER) will organize, on September 9 at 5:00 pm (Spain), the webinar in Spanish "United States-South Korea Strategic Partnership: Past, Present and Future", which will be given by Melany Villatoro.
The event is held in collaboration with the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de Puerto Rico (International Iberoamerican University, UNIB), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Iberoamerican University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), the Fundación Universitaria Internacional de Colombia (International University Foundation of Colombia, UNINCOL), the Universidade Internacional do Cuanza (International University of Cuanza, UNIC), and the Universidad de La Romana (University of La Romana, UNIROMANA).
The South Korea-U.S. alliance is a key pillar of security and prosperity in Asia. Since the Korean War, this partnership has evolved significantly, adapting to the changing geopolitical environment. This webinar will provide a comprehensive overview of this partnership, exploring the historical origins of this relationship, its consolidation as a strategic alliance, and its role in addressing regional challenges such as the North Korean nuclear threat. It will also analyze the future prospects of this alliance in an increasingly interconnected and competitive world.
Melany Villatoro has a degree in International Relations. She teaches Political Science and Humanities and Communication at universities in Guatemala, Colombia, Spain and Mexico.
The conference is free and open to all those interested in the subject and will be streamed live on FUNIBER's YouTube channel.
