
The Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de Puerto Rico (International Ibero-American University, UNIB), in collaboration with the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana (Ibero-American University Foundation, FUNIBER), Ecuador headquarters, recently held a graduation ceremony for scholarship students who successfully completed their postgraduate studies at institutions within the FUNIBER university network. The event took place at the Eloy Alfaro Civic Center Theater in the city of Guayaquil.
On this occasion, 170 scholarship recipients completed their academic programs at the Universidad Europea del Atlántico (European University of the Atlantic, UNEATLANTICO), the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (International Ibero-American University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico), and UNIB.
The board of directors in charge of awarding the diplomas was made up of Mgtr. Enrique Espinel Maila, executive director of FUNIBER Ecuador; Johanna Lucas, coordinator of Admissions and Scholarships; and Néstor Petraccaro Guerrero, representative of UNEATLANTICO in Ecuador.
The guests of honor were Marcela Sosa de Vargas, executive director of the Leonidas Ortega Moreira Foundation; Margarita Andrade, university advisor and coordinator of Institutional Relations at the International American Institute; and Julie Guerrero, academic director of the Secondary Section of the International School Educational Unit.
During the ceremony, the authorities highlighted the dedication, commitment, and effort of the graduates, recognizing the skills acquired during their training as key tools for their professional development. The valuable support of their families and loved ones, who closely accompanied them throughout their academic process, was also highlighted.
The graduates also received emotional messages from the rectors of the FUNIBER network universities, who congratulated them on this academic achievement, which they attained thanks to their effort, perseverance, and dedication.
With this ceremony, UNIB reaffirms its commitment to quality higher education, paying tribute to the scholarship students who have successfully completed distance learning master's, specialization, and doctoral programs and recognizing their academic performance.
