The International Iberoamerican University (UNIB), in collaboration with the Iberoamerican University Foundation (FUNIBER), recently held a university degree award ceremony in Mexico. The purpose of the ceremony was to recognise the effort and dedication of students who successfully completed their postgraduate studies at the universities that make up the Foundation's International University Network.
The academic event brought together graduates from the European University of the Atlantic (UNEATLANTICO), the International Iberoamerican University of Mexico (UNINI Mexico) and UNIB, once again consolidating the university's commitment to quality higher education with an international outlook.
The ceremony took place in the Guadalajara room of the BelAir Unique Hotel in Mexico City and was attended by academic authorities and institutional representatives. The table of honour was composed of the international director of Admissions at FUNIBER, Dr. Mónica Gracia Villar; the rector of UNINI México, Dr. Luis Dzul López, and the general secretary of the same institution, Mtra. In total, 19 scholarship recipients received their respective university degrees: one from UNIB, one from UNEATLANTICO, and seventeen from UNINI Mexico. The postgraduate programmes covered various areas of knowledge, reflecting the breadth and diversity of the university's academic offerings. Among the degrees awarded were the Master's Degree in Education; the Master's Degree in Linguistics Applied to the Teaching of Spanish as a Foreign Language; the Master's Degree in Social Gerontology; the Master's Degree in Nutrition and Food Biotechnology; the Master's Degree in Vegetarian Nutrition and Dietetics; the Master's Degree in Clinical and Health Psychology; the Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering; and the Master's Degree in Physical Activity: Sports Training and Management.
During the ceremony, the academic authorities congratulated the graduates, highlighting their perseverance, discipline, and commitment throughout their training, as well as the value of education as a tool for personal and social transformation. Special recognition was also given to the students with the highest academic averages at each university, distinguishing Edith Vázquez Velázquez (UNIB); Maricruz García Loya and Víctor Maldonado Benítez (UNINI Mexico), and Gricel González Vázquez (UNEATLANTICO).
On behalf of his classmates, graduate Víctor Maldonado Benítez gave an emotional message of gratitude, expressing his appreciation to FUNIBER for the support provided through its scholarship programme, as well as to the families and loved ones of the graduates, whose support was essential during their studies.
With ceremonies such as this, UNIB and FUNIBER reaffirm their work as institutions of international educational cooperation, facilitating access to postgraduate university studies through their Scholarship Programme and their close collaboration with renowned universities. The university continues to work to train highly qualified professionals who are able to apply their knowledge for the benefit of their communities and actively contribute to the academic, social and professional development of their countries.
