The Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER), based in Colombia, with the support of the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana (Ibero-American International University, UNIB), presents the three professionals selected as winners of the 2026 Merit Scholarship. This initiative recognizes the track record, commitment, and potential of those seeking to strengthen their academic training and contribute to the development of their respective professional fields.

In this edition, Gabriel Buitrago López, Jeison Camilo Nastacuas García, and Laura Nikole Grisales Ortiz were selected to receive a 100% scholarship to pursue graduate studies thanks to FUNIBER’s support and earn their degrees from the Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana de México (Ibero-American International University of Mexico, UNINI Mexico).

Recognition of Commitment

Gabriel Buitrago López, an environmental manager, will receive a full scholarship to pursue a master’s degree related to climate change. His track record reflects a consistent interest in environmental protection and the search for solutions aimed at addressing contemporary environmental challenges.

Meanwhile, Jeison Camilo Nastacuas García, a certified public accountant, has been selected to pursue a specialization in auditing. This training will allow him to expand his knowledge and strengthen his skills in an area that is fundamental to transparency, oversight, and responsible management within organizations.

The third recipient, Laura Nikole Grisales Ortiz, will pursue a specialization in the area of Legal Compliance, a discipline focused on regulatory compliance and the prevention of legal risks within institutions and companies. Her selection recognizes the importance of having professionals capable of promoting an organizational culture based on accountability and adherence to current regulations.

Training with a Vision for the Future

Recipients were selected based on criteria such as professional commitment, motivation toward continuing education, and fulfillment of the requirements established by FUNIBER. Additionally, qualities related to dedication, a thirst for knowledge, and a focus on research and innovation were taken into account.

The winners expressed their gratitude for this opportunity and highlighted the value of having support that will help them achieve their academic and professional goals. In a context characterized by constant transformation in the productive and social sectors, updating one’s knowledge is an essential tool for tackling new challenges and making significant contributions.

UNIB congratulates Gabriel Buitrago López, Jeison Camilo Nastacuas García, and Laura Nikole Grisales Ortiz on this important achievement. We hope this opportunity will contribute significantly to their professional and personal growth, and we wish them every success in this new phase of their education and in the future projects they undertake.
