UNIB Serving Puerto Rico
As the first fully online university in Puerto Rico, UNIB extends its educational model to national and international communities with rigor and effectiveness. Currently, the institution has students in 27 countries and offers a range of academic programs comprising 20 programs, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
The university was established in Puerto Rico with the aim of achieving the following strategic objectives:

The Universidad Internacional Iberoamericana is officially accredited by the Board of Postsecondary Institutions (JIP, Junta de Instituciones Postsecundarias) of Puerto Rico, under Accreditation Number 2021-040. Definition of Distance Learning at UNIB
For indexing purposes and academic clarity, UNIB defines its distance learning program as a comprehensive system that is not limited exclusively to the virtual environment, but rather integrates various components to ensure educational effectiveness:

Methodology

Infrastructure and Physical Premises
Although all of its programs are offered online, UNIB maintains a physical campus in Puerto Rico that enables administrative oversight and in-person support for students and applicants. The main facilities are located in the municipality of Arecibo, specifically at Kilometer 1.3 of Highway 658, in the Palache sector of the Arenalejos neighborhood.
This campus houses the administrative offices, academic departments, and student services (Admissions, Registrar’s Office, Career Counseling, and Virtual Library), ensuring the proper functioning and security of academic records in accordance with confidentiality and physical security regulations.
